A strong story line, genuine characters and compassionate hero and heroine make for an unforgettable read."

Authors

Looking for new authors to love? Here are some of my writing friends, both published and unpublished, all of whom know how to write great stories.

  • Sharon Long. Sharon specializes in romance, action and suspense, whether in her unique historicals or her contemporaries.
  • Maya Banks. Maya is Sharon's alter-ego who writes some really great erotic romances for Samhain and Berkley. And coming soon, contemporary romantic suspense from Berkley Sensation.
  • Jan Kenny. Jan writes one heck of a western historical.
  • Karin Tabke. Karin's niche is hot cops. She writes for Kensington Aphrodisia and Pocket Books.
  • Edie Ramer. Edie bills her stories as edgy romantic comedies with a touch of magic.
  • Allison Brennan. Allison hit the USA Today and extended New York Times lists with her debut romantic suspense for Ballantine. If you're in the mood for dark page turners, give her a try!
  • Kay Stockham. Kay is a fellow Superromance author who writes engaging stories with delicious heroes.
  • Suzanne Cox. Suzanne is another Superromance writer who flavors her southern-set stories with a dash of suspense.
  • Terry McLaughlin. Terry sold to Superromance just days after I did. Her books are fabulous. Try them.
  • Karen Brichoux. Karen's stories are women's fiction with younger protagonists.
  • Jerri Corgiat. Jerri writes women's fiction for Signet. Definitely worth checking out.
  • Superauthors. At this site you'll find a long list of other Superromance authors whose romance stories cover a broad range but generally center around family and home issues.
  • Tammy Johnson. Tammy is one hot writer who's getting requests from several different lines at Harlequin and Silhouette. Look for her to sell soon!
  • Liz Kreger. Liz writes for Samhain Publishing...she calls her stories space operas.
  • Michelle Diener. Michelle lives in South Africa and always has interesting anecdotes. She writes historical fantasy with romantic elements, among other things. I have a feeling she'll sell her work very soon!
  • Jaci Burton. Jaci is our newest addition to the Writeminded blog, but she is NOT new to writing romance. She writes paranormal romance, erotic romance and contemporary romance for various publishers.
  • Stephanie Tyler. Stephanie, fellow Writeminded blogger, writes yummy military heroes for Blaze and Bantam. She's also half of Sydney Croft, author of steamy paranormal romance.
  • Larissa Ione. Another Writeminded girl, Larissa writes erotic romance for Secrets, Grand Central Publishing and Samhain Publishing. She's also the other half of Sydney Croft.

Other authors on my list of favorites:

There are tons of others I really like and my list is always expanding, but if you haven't read these authors, give them a try!
